Spinnakers Reach Bathroom Renovation

It’s just… wow. That could be the whole blog post.

This bathroom deserves a whole showcase though… so welcome to Spinnakers Reach. A primary bath where the color is rich and the amenities are heavenly. When we first met this couple, we fell in love with their eccentric vibes, but their bathroom was just so bland and boring- not a good match. They were living in a home that didn’t at all reflect their fun and funky personalities. We were determined to fix that.

As a Renovation Designer, most of this space was created in my 2am dreams. It’s how a space goes from simply designed, to teetering the line of functional spaces and a piece of art. Thankfully, these clients were wide open to anything I presented so it came together like magic.

From the deep blue paint, to the emerald wall tile, to the recycled glass shower floor, this space feels rich and inviting. Did you see the stained glass inset into the wall? The sunlight shines through into the water closet on the other side and perfectly displays an array of dancing colors.

This color pop is replicated in the small but mighty addition of floral wallpaper at the entryway that brings fun pattern into the room. While the addition of slat wall behind the vanities was a play on texture to add interest to the area without adding too much visual clutter. This room already has plenty of activity for the eye to see so playing with texture and color was a delicate balance.

One of our favorite details has to be the stunning Kohler fixtures. They are perfect. Polished nickel is classic and soft. It’s the warmth and timelessness the room needed.
